Here are some more recent pics of the nursery. I realized that I hadn't posted a picture of the wall letters finished and hung, or a picture of the changing table area now that it's no longer a computer desk.
The letters for his name are up! We painted them a dark brown at first and didn't like it because it almost looked black. Then we painted over it in a lighter brown and really like how it turned out. We put some of the wall decals that match the bedding around his name.
Nothing really new in this pic...I think I already posted one like it, but I still wanted everyone to have a view of all 4 walls.
This is probably the biggest change since the earlier pictures I posted. This used to be our computer desk, and I think the last time I posted it either had junk all over it or it was empty. We hung a tension rod that DH painted brown and 2 of the valances that match the bedding, so we can use the top shelf for storage. My due date twin Mya bought me these green baskets that we'll use for storage, and I have more on my registry that I want to add to it. I'm going to have 5 up there total. The green ones will be the 2nd and 4th baskets, and then I'll put brown ones up as the 1st, 3rd, and 5th baskets.
We also finally found a lamp stand that I liked (from Target). I had already bought the lamp shade from BRU. I think it will probably end up in the corner of the changing table for some extra lighting in that area. And we made a little monkey family with the wall decals - 2 big monkeys (DH and I) and 2 little monkeys (my SS Bailey and our LO Brayden). Underneath the desk is a brown hamper that I found at Target along with our carseat (keeping it in the plastic for now so our cat doesn't try to get in it and cover it with her hair). On the left is our stroller propped up against the desk. Oh, and there is a wastebasket in front of the hamper that will go underneath in one of the cabinets that we'll have locks on.
I ordered the blue basket on the dresser from BRU and it has 3 dividers inside, just for miscellaneous things so his dresser doesn't end up cluttered. The picture on the left is from my friend Monica - it has a picture from our first ultrasound and a poem in it. You can see a close up of it in this post.
