I thought I'd share the hell that I'm living in...
My poor feet blew up somewhere around my 35th week.
Lovely indentations from the new flip flops that I just bought for work - in a size bigger than I normally wear.
Side-ish view
Top view - can you see the golf ball that used to be my ankle?
I swear...I used to have cute, tiny feet. I normally wear a size 6. I have a closet full of sexy heels that I'm afraid I will never wear again if my feet stay a size bigger than they normally are.
The skin on my feet, ankles, and lower shins is stretched so tight that it feels like it's going split open like the over-cooked turkey on Christmas Vacation. No joke. You know how you normally bend your ankles when you walk? Mine don't do that anymore. I walk flat-footed now. I went down a flight of stairs yesterday, not realizing the range of motion your feet actually go through to do this, and it was excrutiating.
But hey...the pedicure looks great, huh? :)

You poor girl! The pedi looks wonderful! As soon as the little one is born, I'm sure the swelling will go down. I hope your other test comes back normal! Keep us posted!
ReplyDeleteWOW! You weren't kidding when you said you were swollen! No wonder you're so done being pregnant, between that and the itching! That's like walking around with two sprained ankles. I hope the next few days/weeks (??) go by fast and you can start to get your body back and meet your lil' guy!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously considering elective induction next week! The doctor mentioned it, we just have to discuss it this Friday.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! You poor thing! :( I hope this last week(s?) go by super fast for you! After you have Brayden the swelling WILL go down...hopefully you'll be able to fit into those heels again! (After I had Braxton I had to go up a size!) :(
ReplyDeleteAlso,
Your post reminded me of this one:

lol
Sammy...you poor thing. It's too bad you can't take off work now. It sucks having to work full time when you're pregnant and miserable. Hang in there my friend. The end is near...you know now for sure you'll be done with this in less than a month.
